Financial Audits Are Not Enough To Fight Organizational Corruption

Like people, organizations have symptoms that things “aren’t right.” Most of these symptoms of corruption in an organization occur long before a whistleblower phone call is made. And most symptoms will not be seen by a financial audit. Government Use of SMS as a Public Outreach

SMS as an outreach tool for Government?
While the protests are ongoing in Egypt, the same underlying communication techniques are being use by citizens of many countries as a way to coordinate protests. Of course, governments can and should use the same tools to communicate to their citizens. This is a basic failing of many governments – failure to communicate to their citizens. Beyond a “one-way” information blast, I am looking for more substantive examples where government has used SMS to create a dialogue with citizens. Continue reading
